Hi, my name is Abigail Fletcher and I am a Fashion Merchandising major with minors in Fashion Media and Marketing. I created this website to show my proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition, and Premiere Pro. I am familiar with all four of these Adobe programs and multimedia design as a whole. I have completed a project in all four of these Adobe programs that paired with the theme of my blog, which used inspiration from my own life. The two major factors I used for inspiration from my own life were fashion and athletics, specifically gymnastics.
Video Story
This video project was created on Adobe Premiere Pro, and was meant to portray my gymnastics journey throughout the years. I wanted to show the beginning of my career, my young gymnastics videos, and then college gymnastics, which are the most current videos of my career. College gymnastics was always my dream, so I wanted to show my journey to achieve that in this video.
Audio Story
This audio project was created on Adobe Audition and describes what gymnastics means to my teammates and me. Division I athletics is an incredible commitment, and is filled with many emotions for most athletes. I wanted to show this through interviews with teammates to the sound of exploding cheers in a competition. You heard the athletes talk about what it means to them, and then you heard the true emotion of that coming out in competition.
Logo
This logo was created on Adobe Illustrator, and is a personal logo to fit my overall theme of fashion and gymnastics in my own life. I love fashion, and since it is my major it is a key aspect of my life. Another passion in my life is athletics, specifically gymnastics, so I wanted to find a logo that meshed these two topics together. I find elements of fashion in gymnastics and vice versa, so I wanted to depict this through my logo.
Graphic Collage
My graphic collage project was created in Adobe Photoshop, and it was meant to depict the crossover between athletics and fashion. I used a mood board format to portray this, which is an element of fashion. I used photos from my everyday life and travels that I felt demonstrated this overlap. I feel Nike is an incredible example of fashion and athletics being one in the same. Overall, this collage shows how these two topics contribute to my life, and have many overlaps.
